The Northland Tsunami Siren Network will be tested at the start of Daylight Savings on Sunday 6 April 2025 at 10.00hrs for around 1 minute.
Public information is underway, which includes public newspaper notices, radio advertising and the use of social media.
This test will be the first test of the newly upgraded sirens. They will be monitored remotely for any faults. The old sirens will not be activated but remain as a backup as we test the new system.
